Trepidation

Where’s your strength, you pile of bones?

What happend to your heart of stone?

Did it crumble?

Has the captain lost his way,

Even though he has the map of your brain?

Or did your soul just take control of the wheel,

Crashed into an eternal wall of steel

And turned to ruins?

Has the ship already sunk?

Be careful or you might drown!

Said a voice so loud and clear,

Making me tremble in fear

As I took my last breath of air

And prepared to fall into the deep –

Overwhelmed by everything…
